  • Steve presents two case studies and the research behind them for 2 men in different conflicts, eras and service. One is close to home and the other afar. You won’t want to miss this

Thursday February 9th: 1PM-3PM DNA Special Interest Group (SIG). Host: Christol James
  • Topic: Exploring GedMatch.
  • This will be a Hybrid Event, meaning it will be held at the CRGS Library and by Zoom.
  • If you are coming in person please arrive early to set up your laptop.
  • If you have already been attending DNA SIGs by Zoom you are on the list. If not, send me an email to get your invite to xoljames@icloud.com
  • Returning to Pre-Covid practices there is now a $5 fee to attend. Zoomers send eTransfer to crgstreasurer@gmail.com. Include your email address and the session attending in the notes. All proceeds go to Zoom and Library expenses. In person attendees may pay at the Library when you come.
Saturday February 18th: 10AM-3PM The CRGS Library is OPEN
  • Join us for this monthly Saturday weekend opening and explore our collection
  • One on One help with your genealogy.
  • Bring your laptop and access Ancestry Library Edition and those hidden images on FamilySearch.
  • I personally challenge visitors to find a book or two that could help with your genealogy. It’s not all online! Members can borrow books for up to 1 month.
  • The Maritime Heritage Centre building is closed. Ring the doorbell at the main entrance to be admitted.
Thursday February 23rd: 1PM-3PM Special Interest Group (SIG) Potpourri
  • Topics covered: Your Choice. Group participation. Bring questions for group discussion.
